EMDR & IFS Therapy Intensives | online in Colorado

A large dose of therapy in a short period of time.

Feel better, faster.

Do you relate to this?

You’re ready to dive deep in your healing journey.

You’re feeling overwhelmed and need fast relief.

The problem? Weekly therapy just doesn’t cut it for you. It doesn’t fit your busy schedule or processing style.

You keep circling around the same themes — relationships, self-worth, old wounds — and getting stuck in the same places. You wish you had uninterrupted, prolonged time to work through what’s keeping you stuck.

A therapy intensive can help.

Extended & focused sessions get you the relief you need, without weekly commitments.

Unlike traditional therapy with its weekly 50-minute sessions, intensives offer a powerful, focused approach to healing. They condense therapy into several intentionally designed hours, allowing you to make significant progress in a shorter timeframe.

The result? You get to go deeper, faster, through brain-body therapies like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems). You move through the next layers of your processing and healing in a shorter period of time.

Experience intensive therapy, and get more time, energy, & life back to yourself.

How can intensive therapy support you?

  • Intensive therapy provides focused attention & targeted processing of specific themes/challenges in your life. You may experience weeks/months of progress in a span of hours/days.

  • Step away from the chaos & automatic patterns of daily life. Intensives are a reminder to slow down and create intentional time & space for healing.

A few days of intensive therapy may provide the reset and reconnection that you need.

  • By experiencing significant progress in a shorter timeframe, you may save time & money on continuous weekly therapy.

  • Intensives offer availability outside of typical therapy hours, so you don’t have to miss work or transition abruptly between appointments.

You can schedule your intensives on weekends, weekdays, and weekday evenings.

FAQs

  • Intensives condense a large dose of therapy into a short period of time — helping you feel better, faster.

Within an intensive session, we may flow through various therapy modalities — EMDR, IFS, and somatic therapy. This integrative approach provides various entry points into processing work, and allows for transformative brain-body healing.

  • Intensives may be good fit for you if:

    • You want to do significant therapy work, but don’t have time to commit to weekly sessions.

    • You would like to accelerate your healing process in a short period of time. You don’t want to spend months or years in therapy, or sit on a waiting list.

    • You’re going to weekly therapy, and things have come up (past traumas) that your current therapist does not specialize in. You’d like to do some adjunct, intensive therapy to address these issues.

    • You have a break coming up in your usually packed schedule — a leave from work, a holiday period — and would like to complete as much therapy work as possible in that window.

    • You’re getting ready for a significant life event — a move, new job, marriage, family reunion, graduation, ceremonial rite of passage — and need to do some emotional processing before this experience.

  • After a therapy intensive, you may notice:

    • a level of calm & connection with yourself that you haven’t felt before

    • a sense of having worked through something that’s been keeping you stuck for a while

    • feeling less weighed down by the past

    • a significant decrease in anxiety & overwhelm

Intensive experiences vary, depending on your specific situation. It’s important to note that intensives do not guarantee full resolution of traumatic experiences, but rather the opportunity to experience significant progress that would typically take longer to achieve in weekly therapy.

  • Intensives are held online, via a secure video-conferencing platform. In order to participate in an intensive, you must:

    • be located in the state of Colorado

    • have a reliable Internet connection

    • be in a private space during your intensive therapy sessions

For our virtual intensives, I invite you to make your space as comfortable & lovely as possible. Surround yourself with sensory delights — plants, art, candles, your favorite photos, pleasant aromas, grounding objects, and soft pillows and blankets. Pets are welcome, as long as they don’t pose a distraction to your therapy process.

In-person intensives in Colorado may become available later in 2024-2025. Feel free to inquire about this via email.

  • Intensives span across multiple days, with 1-2 hours of intensive work happening on each day. You will have time for rest & reflection in between each session.

A 3-day intensive program may look like this:

    • Thursday, 10-11:30am: Intake Session

    • Friday, 10am-12pm: Processing Session

    • Saturday, 10am-12pm: Processing Session

Weekend, weekday, and weekday evening spots are available for intensive therapy.

Ongoing intensives (on a monthly, quarterly, or other recurring basis) are an option as well.

  • Intensive therapy costs $250 per 60 minutes.

Intensive hours are billed at a higher rate than weekly therapy, due to the increased value and scheduling flexibility of intensives.

2-day intensive programs begin at $875. During your free consult, we will discuss which intensive program is the best fit for you.

In accordance with the No Surprises Act, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) as part of your intake paperwork. This document will outline the costs of your intensive therapy program.

Once you have confirmed your intensive dates, a non-refundable deposit for half the amount of your total intensive cost is due within 1 week. This amount will be charged to your credit card number, submitted via the online client portal.

The remaining half of your intensive cost will be charged on the date of the first session.

  • Some insurance plans will reimburse a portion of the cost of an EMDR/IFS Intensive. Please note that the insurance company requires a diagnosis code as a reason for treatment.

I recommend calling your insurance company to learn details about your specific plan. Ask what benefits are available regarding out-of-network providers, and if your insurance will reimburse several hours of therapy in one day or one week.

I am happy to provide more information to help with this process.

  • Intensives allow for accelerated progress and deeper healing. This may save time and money on continuous treatment across time. Ultimately, intensives are an investment in your health and wellbeing.

  • I work with adults (18+) in Colorado. If you’ve been wanting to explore yourself and address the roots of pain & trauma, I am here to support you. Many of my clients identify as neurodivergent, highly sensitive, and/or people of color.

  • My style is warm & grounding. I draw from a range of healing modalities (EMDR, IFS, Mindfulness, Transpersonal Psychology, Gestalt Therapy, Somatic Therapy) to create a therapy plan that is personalized to you.

As a holistic therapist, I take care to get to know all parts of you — your mental health, emotional world, physical health, relationships, identities, and spiritual & cultural considerations — so that we can address the whole picture. I bring a sense of humor (when appropriate!) because I believe that therapy doesn’t have to be stuffy and serious all the time.

If ritual & ceremony resonate with you, I’d be happy to bring these elements into our intensive space. This might look like — lighting a candle together, having a ceremonial cup of tea as we reflect & integrate, and incorporating energetic, spiritual, and ancestral practices into the process. You can read more about my background & approach on my About Me page.
